Description

Become an Emergency Medical Technician Basic, a vital link in the health care team. The majority of pre-hospital medical care will be provided by the E.M.T.-B. Includes skills necessary to provide emergency medical care at a basic life support level with an ambulance service or other service. Prerequisite: CPR at a health care or professional rescuer level certification is required prior to class.Must be at least 17 years of age at the time of enrollment, be proficient in reading, writing and speaking English, be physically, and emotionally capable of performing basic emergency care skills.. Cost includes state practical, books, handouts, gloves, and shirt. There are additional testing fees for the written test.
