Description
Will introduce students to working with remotely sensed data. Students will develop skills necessary for basic interpretation of aerial photography data, how it is collected, and the ability to analyze maps created from the data collected. Course will also cover sensors operating in the visible, infrared, and microwave range of the electro-magnetic spectrum. The use of imaging GIS software for manipulation and image processing of digital satellite data is also emphasized.
