Description

This training focuses on the issues surrounding foster youth that age-out of the foster care system into the adult world with an emphasis on obtaining community support during the process. Primary topics include: Infusing Positive Youth Development into Case Planning; Culturally Sensitive Practices with Older Youth; Developing Permanent Connections; and Resources for Transitioning Youth. Also emphasized in Youth Centered Team Meeting. Cosponsor: National Resource Center for Family Centered Practices, U o I. Trainers: Lisa D'Aunno and Sue Tew. Meets requirements for 0.6 CEU's for social work. Objectives:The participant will:
1.
