Description
Experience Iowa's history on a day tour of Des Moines' landmarks. The trip includes stops at Salisbury House, an"American Castle;" Terrace Hill, the governor's mansion; the State Capitol; and the finally, the State Historical Building, which offers a variety of exhibits. Lunch will be on your own at a surprise location. Guided tours of the first three locations are included in the registration price. The instructor is a former volunteer at the Iowa State Historical Society and will guide visitors at the final location. Preregister and pay two weeks in advance.
